Job Overview
As a Military Police Officer for the Army National Guard, you will protect, defend, and uphold the law by supporting battlefield operations, providing area security, conducting prisoner of war and civilian internee operations, and carrying out law and order activities.

During peacetime, you will safeguard critical resources, implement crime prevention programs and preserve law and order within the Army community.

Job Duties

Law enforcement patrols

Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects in investigations

Crime scene security and processing

Arrest and charge criminal suspects

Training
The training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) that includes classroom instruction and field practice in police methods.

Requirements

Military enlistment in the Army National Guard

Minimum junior in high school, high school diploma, or GED certificate

Age 17 to 35
