Pay Range

Major Responsibilities
Proficiently facilitates patient safety efforts and coaches others in the development of patient safety with emphasis on process redesign and zero harm.
Investigates and manages the resolution of all patient safety incidents.
Maintains records or patient related errors and evaluates this information in order to identify the root cause. Recommends changes, policies or programs that could prevent future occurrences.
Assists with the coordination of the annual analysis and implementation of the organizations Patient Safety Plan and development of the Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement Plan.
Prepares Quality reports, and presentations, in preparation of quality committee meetings.
Coordinates department and facility Patient Safety meetings, analyzes trends, identifies opportunities for improvement, develops action plans; measures success of these action plans, and creates the records, and follow-up metrics for each meeting, and activity; reassesses approach to maximize success.
Assists leadership in defining key performance indicators and developing measurement tools to evaluate quality improvements, coordinates patient safety culture assessment efforts.
Develops strategies for improvement that include considerations for leading practice research and shares implementation results across the organization provides education and training on patient safety and performance improvement tools.
Participates in and/or coordinates multi facility/business unit and/or Market wide projects, initiatives, and collaboratives.
Consults with and trains teammates to implement monitoring and measurement tools, and data analysis techniques.
Demonstrates best practices and promotes safety and high reliability organization.
Identify and mitigate patient safety risk.
Increase patient safety awareness and practice among clinicians and teammates.
Conduct root cause analyses in response to unexpected occurrences which caused or may cause serious physical injury. Monitors actions taken to determine effectiveness.
Supports other projects and initiatives as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
Works in an office environment which requires walking, standing, and long periods of sitting and computer use.
Occasionally requires carrying up to twenty-five (25) pounds of materials (files, projectors, laptop, etc.).
Travels to AHN Facilities in personal vehicle as needed.
Must have a current Ga. Driver’s License.
Requires the ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure, to work in a safe and effective manner, and to handle different issues and priorities simultaneously.
Can clearly communicate verbally, in person, and in writing with patients, families, agencies, and the healthcare team.
Must possess a strong sense of urgency and make sound decision within limited time frame.
Carries out responsibilities in a professional manner always, as well as possesses ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other teammates on an individual and team basis.
