Summary of Responsibilities
Teaches courses in one or more of the following areas: all levels of Ballet Technique and Theory, Pointe, Variation, Character Dance, Music for Ballet Dancers, and Choreography.
Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study with measurable objectives for each course taught.
Prepares instructional materials, evaluates instruction and learning by means of written, oral, practical, and performance tests; maintains a student‑oriented approach to teaching, submits student grades and all requested departmental materials in a timely manner.
Attends mandatory adjunct meetings.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
A high school diploma with teaching and/or professional experience in ballet.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of subject matter and course content of courses taught.
Effective interpersonal, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Must be able to motivate and evaluate students and interact effectively with other dance faculty.
