Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. They assist patients with activities of daily living and perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort. Duties are performed within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing tasks with licensed and non‑licensed members.
Required Qualifications
Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
