Job Description
The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and provide care to patients at Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC). Responsibilities include delivering patient education, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans per standing orders, monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with the care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.
Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery of dialysis care to patients.
Provide patient education on dialysis and health management.
Supervise and support Dialysis Technicians in patient care.
Adjust treatment plans based on standing orders and individual care plans.
Monitor patient outcomes and response to treatments.
Administer medications as prescribed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the center.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the WA State Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association.
Minimum 1 year nursing experience required.
Previous dialysis experience required; acute or ambulatory nursing experience is preferred.
