Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children.
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff in daily activities.
Assess and monitor children's development and provide feedback to parents.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Collaborate with parents and families to support children's growth and learning.
Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
Organize and participate in educational activities and events.
Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution among children.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Valid New York State teaching certification for early childhood education.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool or child care setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Basic knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
