Main duties and responsibilities
Perform various tests and analyze data to determine compliance to specified standards.
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment in the lab.
Determine trends and present data to facility management in order to initiate appropriate action.
Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates
Excellent attendance record
Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving
Intermediate computer skills including the ability to create and input data into a spreadsheet
The ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools
The ability to read and comprehend complex testing data.
The ability to perform basic preventive maintenance procedures.
The ability to prepare and present reports to plant leadership.
The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems
The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
Knowledge of Particle Board testing equipment and procedures
Knowledge of Particle Board quality standards and end user requirements
Knowledge of Particle Board production and finishing processesExperience in quality inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Associate's degree in a technical or business related field of study
Basic physical testing experience in a wood panel production plant
