Position Highlights
Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) – Anesthesia Pain Management
Location: Skokie Hospital, Skokie, IL
Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time (average of 40 hours/wk.)
Hours: Mon – Fri between 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Rotating weekends and call required
Required Travel: NorthShore Hospitals

Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Department of Anesthesia Pain Management! Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provide care to patients. Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations, order imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures, and interpret results. Instruct patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre‑/post operative instructions. Maintain records and write progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follow patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrate evidence‑based practice. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assess the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employ strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Support the strategic plan of the organization. Adhere to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
Education: Completion of master’s level program in specialty area
Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
Experience: Prior APN/PA experience preferred
