Teacher (Grades 4–8)
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and experienced Teacher to join our school community for grades 4–8. This role is ideal for an educator who values strong social-emotional connections, intentionally teaches social skills, and creates a classroom culture where students feel safe, seen, and supported.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher with state teaching certification, with a strong background in Social Studies and History instruction.
Previous experience teaching upper elementary or middle school (grades 4–8 preferred)
Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and SEL best practices
Experience with or interest in project-based and student-centered learning
Ability to create an inclusive, structured, and emotionally supportive classroom
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Firm foundation in Christian faith and commitment to modeling Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
Implement a Christian-based curriculum aligned with school and state standards.
Build strong, respectful relationships with students through social-emotional learning (SEL) practices.
Encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving through project-based learning.
Prepare engaging learning materials and meaningful assignments.
Assign and assess classwork and homework; provide timely, constructive feedback.
Track and document academic and social-emotional progress
Maintain accurate student records.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to create a healthy, safe, and supportive school environment.
Address and document behavioral concerns with a restorative, growth-focused approach
