Full-Time Police Officer Position - West Earl Township Police Department – Lancaster County, PA
The West Earl Township Police Department is seeking a highly motivated, community-oriented individual who is dedicated to public service and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. The West Earl Township Police Department provides professional law enforcement services to Akron Borough, New Holland Borough, Earl Township, and West Earl Township, serving a combined population of approximately 26,000 residents. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety, building community partnerships, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age
High school graduate or equivalent (as recognized by MPOETC)
Good moral character
Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police officer
Candidates must successfully complete a competitive selection process, which includes (but is not limited to): oral interviews, physical and psychological examinations, and a comprehensive background investigation.
Certification:
ACT 120 certification is preferred but not required. Applicants currently not certified will be considered.
Compensation:
ACT 120 Certified Officers: Starting salary – $75,630; Top step (after 5 years) – $105,311 (2026 pay scale)
Non-Certified Recruits (Academy): Starting salary – $45,438. Upon successful academy graduation, salary increases to $75,630.
