Full-Time Police Officer Position - West Earl Township Police Department – Lancaster County, PA

The West Earl Township Police Department provides professional law enforcement services to Akron Borough, New Holland Borough, Earl Township, and West Earl Township, serving a combined population of approximately 26,000 residents. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety, building community partnerships, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age
High school graduate or equivalent (as recognized by MPOETC)
Good moral character
Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police officer
Candidates must successfully complete a competitive selection process, which includes (but is not limited to): oral interviews, physical and psychological examinations, and a comprehensive background investigation.
Certification:
ACT 120 certification is preferred but not required. Applicants currently not certified will be considered.
Compensation:
ACT 120 Certified Officers: Starting salary – $75,630; Top step (after 5 years) – $105,311 (2026 pay scale)
Non-Certified Recruits (Academy): Starting salary – $45,438. Upon successful academy graduation, salary increases to $75,630.
