
Pediatric CNA

Tender Care Medical Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide daily care and support to medically fragile children in our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) centers. This role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and engagement in a supportive, team-based environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist children with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, diapering, toileting, repositioning, and personal care
Check and report patient vital signs to nursing staff
Provide emotional support, comfort, and reassurance to children
Supervise and participate in structured indoor and outdoor play activities
Follow individualized patient care plans
Monitor patient safety and report concerns or abnormal findings
Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control and sanitization protocols
Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, licensing standards, and company policies
Work collaboratively with nursing and support staff
Complete assigned daily tasks and other duties as directed
Working Conditions
Work performed indoors, outdoors, and occasionally in company vehicles
Exposure to biohazardous materials and pediatric care environments
May involve loud, crying, or distressed children
Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and hands-on care
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently
Ability to participate in team lifts for heavier loads
Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and use hands repetitively
Ability to ride in a company vehicle for extended periods when required
Ability to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience caring for infants or children
CNA, Medical Assistant, Personal Care Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic certification
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
