Responsibilities
Assist the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
Order and maintain inventory controls, product quality, and supervise the Vitamin/HBA team.
Coordinate production, merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication and teamwork.
Lead a team to deliver the finest quality products and highest level of service.
Assist customers with vitamins, supplements and health & beauty products to help them better understand their health and wellness issues.
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of department items and provide guidance on products without prescribing.
Recruit, hire, develop, mentor and motivate the Vitamin team.
Unload and sort store deliveries.
Ensure execution of all company health, safety and sanitation guidelines and ensure other team members follow them.
Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy or holistic experience with leadership duties; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Dependable and reliable; able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude; able to interact with customers.
Good communication skills and ability to give and receive direction while maintaining a team environment.
Perform general housekeeping in the department (clean and dust).
Adhere to all safety, health and Weights & Measures regulations.
Willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
Strong organization and prioritization skills.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the entire work day and lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Provide ability to move a ladder to access product requiring a force up to 5 lbs for up to 2 hours and a distance up to 25 feet.
Operate a utility cart holding 20 lbs requiring a force up to 35 lbs for up to 2 hours and distance up to 20 feet.
Walk up to 3 miles in an 8 hour shift.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Pay Range
$19.50 – $29.15 per hour, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
