GOMACO Slipform Paver Operator (FAA / Airfield Concrete)
We are seeking an experienced GOMACO Slipform Paver Operator with a background in FAA airfield concrete paving. This position is responsible for operating slipform paving equipment to construct high-precision airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, and aprons. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced working within strict FAA specifications.

A typical day looks like:
Operate GOMACO slipform paving equipment on FAA-regulated airfield projects
Maintain proper alignment, elevation, and grade to meet FAA tolerances
Follow direction from the Foreman to ensure production and quality standards are met
Monitor concrete placement and make machine adjustments as needed
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Troubleshoot operational or mechanical issues during paving operations
Adhere to all FAA, DOT, and company safety standards
Maintain awareness of paving sequence, joint alignment, and surface quality requirements
Do you have what it takes?
3+ years of experience operating GOMACO slipform pavers
Experience on FAA, military, or commercial airport concrete paving projects preferred
Knowledge of FAA P-501 specifications and airfield paving tolerances
Experience with Trimble 3D machine control systems, or equivalent.
Ability to read plans, grades, and staking information
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Valid driver's license
Skills & Competencies

Ability to operate within strict tolerances and quality standards
Strong communication with supervisors and crew
Dependable and safety-driven mindset
Work Environment
Active airfield and airport construction sites
Frequent travel required throughout the Southeast United States
Night work and overtime common due to airport operations
Exposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working around heavy machinery and active job sites
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
