Machine Operator
We are hiring a Machine Operator. The operator will perform semi‑skilled procedures related to the manufacturing of commercial copper tubing, operating machines such as Inner Groove Level Winder and Bunch Coiler. This role is located in Pine Hall, N.C. and will be fully on‑site.
Starting Pay:
$18 to $20 per hour (additional pay levels available for those interested in progressing).
Schedule:
12‑hour night shifts (2‑2‑3 schedule).
Pay Schedule:
bi‑weekly.
Responsibilities
Operate industrial coiling machines, manufacturing wound commercial copper coils from tubes of various diameters and wall thickness.
Perform set‑up, operation, change‑over, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for machinery.
Operate hand‑held pneumatic bander and manually operated crimper.
Perform dimensional analysis of copper tubes at designated intervals during processing using a micrometer.
Use hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, pry bars, and hammers.
Conduct safety audit of equipment at the beginning of each shift, record results of the audit, and submit them to the supervisor.
Follow all applicable SOPs, JSAs and QAPs associated with the assigned job.
Ensure the workspace is clean and tidy throughout the department.
Machine Operator Qualifications
High school diploma preferred.
Industrial manufacturing experience is a plus.
Mechanically inclined individual preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hot/cold environments.
Ability to read, write, and solve basic math is required.
