The Impact You'll Make
We have an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Machinist to join our diverse team in Freeport, IL. The Machinist operates and sets up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines and machining centers to precisely machine steel and brass components. Wage range for this position is $26.93 - $29.00 an hour with a 10% shift premium.
What You’ll Be Doing
Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Adheres to safety regulations and actively promotes a culture of workplace safety.
Complies with all standard operating procedures, control plans, processes, and quality standards. Capable of efficiently operating multiple machines.
Assesses situations impartially and makes timely decisions aimed at enhancing work performance.
Effectively organizes and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines with high quality, while anticipating potential challenges ahead.
Employs innovative strategies and ideas to resolve issues, optimizing the use of available resources.
Performs all required Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities and maintains possession of necessary personal tools.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED; alternatively, one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
Capable of reading and interpreting documents like safety regulations, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural guides.
Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
