Role: Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate CNC plasma cut tables, grinders/finishers, and saws. Your role involves ensuring machine functionality and product quality through inspections and measurements, as well as adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
Follow production instructions and tasks from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions to achieve desired outcomes.
Install machine fixtures: align and secure dies, punches, blades, or other fixtures to ensure safe operation.
Operate machinery according to specifications.
Operate a forklift: load material on the machine table and transport finished goods to other departments.
Inspect operations: monitor the production process, perform regular inspections, and verify finished products meet quality standards using tools like tape measures and calipers.
Adhere to cleanliness and safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in other areas or departments as needed.

Shift Schedule

3rd Shift: Sun—Thu 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (Candidates must complete training on 1st shift Mon—Fri 7:00 am – 3:00 pm before transferring to 3rd shift).

Qualifications

Average math skills: read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English.
Physical capability: lift, push, pull, and position heavy items.
Attendance compliance: work scheduled hours and comply with time‑keeping and company policies.
Stamina: stand for an entire shift in a non‑climate‑controlled shop environment.
Machining knowledge: learn fundamental machining concepts and demonstrate proficiency with measuring devices.
Collaboration: work closely with supervisors and teammates to optimize production processes and implement improvements.
Accuracy: attention to detail for maintaining quality standards.
Reliability: strong commitment to dependability and consistent performance.
