Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and customer-oriented Glazier/Installer to join our team. This full-time, hands-on role is the primary product fulfillment position, responsible for accurately measuring, preparing, and installing glass products while delivering top-tier service directly in customers' homes or job sites. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, safety-conscious, and takes pride in clean, professional work. Compensation depends on experience.
Serve as the face of The Glass Guru during in-home installations, providing friendly, professional interactions and explaining the process to customers.
Measure job sites accurately for glass products such as replacement windows, insulated glass units (IGUs), shower enclosures, mirrors, wardrobe doors, custom glass, and hardware.
Cut, prepare, transport, and install glass safely and precisely, using appropriate tools, sealants, adhesives, and glazing techniques.
Remove and dispose of old or damaged glass, frames, or hardware while protecting customer property.
Install related hardware, including hinges, handles, seals, weatherstripping, and screens to ensure functionality and watertight performance.
Troubleshoot on-site issues, make adjustments, and ensure installations meet quality standards and build codes.
Maintain a clean, organized work area at job sites and in the company vehicle/shop.
Load and unload glass and materials safely, using proper lifting techniques, dollies, suction cups, and team lifts when needed.
Perform final walkthroughs with customers, obtain satisfaction signoffs, and address any immediate concerns.
Report job completion details, material usage, and any issues to the office team for accurate invoicing and follow-up.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, ladder/scaffolding safety, and vehicle maintenance.
Assist with shop tasks as needed, such as preparing materials, inventory checks, or vehicle organization.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–3+ years of hands‑on residential glass installation experience preferred (experience with shower doors, mirrors, window replacements, and custom glass is a strong plus).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Physically fit for lifting heavy glass (up to 50–100+ lbs with assistance), standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Proficiency with common glazier tools: glass cutters, suction lifters, caulking guns, drills, levels, and power tools.
Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent customer service attitude—polite, communicative, and focused on exceeding expectations.
Basic knowledge of safety standards, glazing best practices, and common residential glass applications.
Willingness to learn The Glass Guru systems, processes, and ongoing training programs.
Preferred Skills
Residential glass replacement including single/double pane window glass, shower enclosures, skylights, etc.
Residential window/door installation including new construction and retrofit.
Window/door maintenance, weatherization, and repair.
Effective troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel) preferred.
