Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Department
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, full-time nights (7:00 pm – 7:00 am).

Location: Maria Parham Medical Center – Henderson, NC.

Summary: Provides direct patient care in the Medical Surgical Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Director or Manager of Medical Surgical Department.

How You’ll Contribute

Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.

Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license).

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).

PALS, ACLS, and Handle with Care (preferred).

One year of RN experience.
