
NP/PA Intern

Overview
The NP/PA Intern is a supervised clinical trainee role designed for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant students to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. The intern supports licensed providers in delivering patient-centered care while developing clinical, diagnostic, and professional skills. This position emphasizes learning, collaboration, and adherence to evidence-based practice within the scope of training and program requirements.

In good academic standing with program approval for internship/rotation.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.

Ability to meet training compliance requirements of the organization and governing bodies.
Physical Requirements
Occupational Exposure Risk Classification: The normal work routine involves frequent exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
The normal work routine has a moderate ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
The position may require a moderate amount of physical exertion (bending, lifting, twisting) in the work area.
Required Qualifications
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Certificate or Professional License:
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) - certification must be obtained after hire and prior to providing direct patient care. This certification must be maintained and kept current through employment.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid - certification must be obtained after hire and prior to providing direct patient care. This certification must be maintained and kept current through employment.
Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks.
