Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (Travel Contract)
We are seeking an experienced
Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)
to join a leading healthcare system. The role involves providing respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients while ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)
to join a leading healthcare system. The role involves providing respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients while ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapies and treatments per physician orders
Monitor patient respiratory status and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
Requirements
Active
CRT or RRT certification
Louisiana state license
(or compact, if applicable)
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Minimum
2 years of experience
in specialty
EPIC experience preferred
First-time travelers accepted (must be experienced, no new grads)
Travel & Work Conditions
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
No local candidates (must reside >65 miles from facility)
Must apply for state licensure within 72 hours (if pending)
Emergency Team Requirement
Candidates must be willing to stay onsite or return during emergency events as assigned
No call-ins allowed
RTO must be disclosed at submission and discussed during interview
Compliance & Additional Info
COVID-19 & Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Orientation conducted throughout the week
Modules are billable and completed during orientation
2 supervisor references required prior to start
