Position Overview
The Quality Control Technician reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor. The Technician performs sample analysis, data entry of test results, responds to quality questions from customers and supervisors, operates laboratory equipment, processes incoming and outgoing samples, and performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

Performs required sample analysis, collection, prepping, assembly.

Completes data entry of test results and maintains records.

Responds to quality questions from customers and handles quality issues from supervisors and operators.

Operates laboratory equipment, both manual and automatic.

Processes incoming samples and assists in processing outgoing samples.

Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designated person.

Minimum Requirements

One to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume; ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and quality control software.

Demonstrates versatility and strong organizational skills in maintaining multiple tasks and providing sample analysis.

Physical Environment

Required to stand for long periods of time.

Walk and climb stairs.

Use hands to remove or lift boxes; stretch and reach with arms extended; stoop and bend.

Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are within normal chemical environment conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay is based on several factors, including education, experience, certifications, and geographic location. The baseline salary is $21.00/hr.
