Summary
The Respiratory Therapist - MMC BID SAN role performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to aid physicians/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. Assists with administering respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, under supervision of the physician/advanced practice practitioner.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduate or active enrollment in an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license or student actively pursuing license in Respiratory Care. NBRC credentialing as an RRT required within one year of eligibility. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required or must be obtained within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
Experience: Minimum of 1,000 clinical hours as a graduate therapist.
