Position: Patient Care Associate (PCA)
Department: Cardiac Telemetry
Shift: Part-Time | Nights | 24 hrs/week
About Our Department
Welcome to our fast‑paced 35‑bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit, where every day is an opportunity to make a difference!
We care for patients with STEMI, post‑cardiac catheterization, CHF, arrhythmias, stroke management, and more. With a supportive nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:4, our PCAs play a vital role in delivering compassionate, top‑quality care.
We believe in teamwork, clear communication, accountability, and mutual respect—all to provide exceptional care to every patient.
Position Overview
Work alongside skilled RNs and LPNs to help our patients achieve their highest level of wellness through personalized care.
What You'll Do
Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records
Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport
Provide clerical support as needed
Growth Opportunity - Become a Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Perform PCA duties plus:
Phlebotomy & blood cultures
Enteral feeding, wound care
IV and Foley catheter removal
Trach care and suctioning
Training & Development
Accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offers hands‑on, comprehensive training
New hires complete a 175‑hour training program as part of orientation (no prior experience needed)
BLS certification required within one month of hire
Complete PCA competencies within 3 months to stay on the team
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs
No prior experience required — we provide full training!
Physical ability to lift/push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
