Job Description
Performs Pharmacist support duties under supervision and responsibility of the registered pharmacist in charge, including, but not limited to: checking prescription forms for completeness, data entry, alerting the Pharmacist to drug interactions or other alerts, and stock maintenance.
Qualifications
HS/GED
Entry experience but some exposure to pharmacy support preferred.
Collective bargaining unit: SEIU 1199-MSH
Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range that complies with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $27.48 - $29.48 hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
Responsibilities
Accurately prepares and fills medication orders.
Retrieves and delivers medications in a timely fashion.
Maintains adequate stock levels in the pharmacy, avoiding overstocking whenever possible.
Reviews medication areas for expired drugs.
Maintains medication refrigerator temperature logs in assigned pharmacy areas.
Maintains medication refrigerator temperature logs in pharmacy areas and nursing units (as assigned)
Adheres to hospital dress code.
Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
Completes PEAK training and educational requirements as per department and/or hospital requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
