Job Description
Eventide Williamsburg in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work 6p-10p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for enhancing the living experience for Eventide’s seniors/residents/clients by performing various care activities and supporting the comprehensive care plan/service plan objectives. They contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well‑being of seniors/clients through respectful, professional, competent and personable interaction.
Essential Functions
Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
Assists with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new staff.
Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout the shift to meet frequently changing or overlapping senior/client/caregiver/team or manager needs.
Performs work duties within the assigned work environment as directed by leadership, regardless of team preference.
Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times.
Implements activities for seniors/clients.
Prepares, plates and serves meals, snacks and other foods requested by or for seniors/clients.
Assists with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English, including medical terminology related to the job.
Physical requirements: Ability to access the work area and safely perform the duties of the job, with vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Strength to lift/push/pull 50 pounds, as required by Eventide.
Age requirement: At least 16 years old.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Six months as an aide or caregiver preferred.
Credentials: CNA certification in good standing in the Nebraska State Registry required. MA-40 certification preferred; CPR required if using MA-40. All certifications must be maintained at the employee’s expense and meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.
Compensation
Eventide offers a competitive starting pay range of $18.00–$20.16 per hour for CNAs, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions.
