Description
RN Clinical Supervisor of the GI Lab at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is full‑time and will work 8‑hour day shifts (7:30 a.m.–4 p.m.). No weekends or call rotation.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. The CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers and activities, interprets policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulations, and ensures nursing care complies with regulations. The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.
Required Qualifications
Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
Upon hire: ANCC recognized specialty certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire). For supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022 who have not obtained an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022.
1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in a specialty area (GI / Endoscopy / Operating Room).
1 year Charge Nurse / Relief Charge Nurse experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Master’s degree in nursing.
Shared Governance experience.
