Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) is a critical access hospital located in West Texas. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in our 18‑bed facility.

Summary of Responsibilities
Has principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, documentation, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge process of each assigned patient to attain optimal health and continuity of care. The RN administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in keeping with current clinical nursing practice. The RN is responsible for directing, monitoring, and evaluating care delegated to non‑licensed personnel ensuring that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment. Cross‑trains to all patient care departments to ensure adequate staffing levels.

Licensing / Certifications

Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required.

Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire.

Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g., ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred.

Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g., PALS or ENPC) preferred.

TNCC preferred.

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.

Experience
One (1) year experience as a Professional Registered Nurse in a hospital environment preferred.
