
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Critical Care Cardiology -

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiology team. This role focuses on the management and coordination of care for critical care cardiology patients in the inpatient setting at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA — 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. Nights and weekends will be required.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the cardiology patients.
Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients.
Become thoroughly competent in all aspects of stress testing.
Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC).
Other duties as assigned.
Shift and Schedule
Nights: 3, 12-hour shifts per week. Hours: 6:30 pm – 6:30 am. Nights and Weekends required.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education: Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Required Minimum Experience: Previous APP Critical Care Cardiology experience preferred.
