Job Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) to provide high‑quality hematology and cellular‑therapy care at Cedars‑Sinai. The role involves independent patient follow‑up, triage, bone marrow biopsy, chemotherapy administration, and ordering diagnostic studies.
Program Brief
The Hematology and Cellular Therapy Program, established in 1989, has performed over 1,500 bone marrow transplants, including CAR‑T and immune‑effector cell therapies. It is a National Marrow Donor Program base and offers comprehensive cancer treatment and support.
Essential Duties
See patients independently for follow‑up and collaborate with the attending physician as indicated.
Triage and manage patients’ symptoms related to malignancy or treatment.
Perform bone marrow biopsies with aspiration, IT chemotherapy administration, and Ommaya access.
Manage chemotherapy regimens.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
Qualifications
Education
Master of Nursing Degree (NP).
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (PA‑C).
Bachelor’s degree (PA‑C).
Experience
At least one year of experience as an NP or PA focused on malignant hematology, including bone marrow transplant and CAR‑T therapy.
Licensure / Certifications
NP: CA RN license, Nurse Practitioner license, National certification by CAANP.
PA‑C: PA‑C license, National PA‑C certification.
DEA license (Schedule 2‑5).
ACLS life‑support certification required.
