Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Veterans Affairs in Seattle, WA as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA). The role is vital to ensuring Veterans receive timely access to care while delivering exceptional customer service in a mission‑driven healthcare environment.

Location: VA Washington – Seattle VA Medical Center (Seattle, WA).

What You'll Do

Serve as the initial point of contact for Veterans, families, and visitors.

Schedule appointments and manage clinic access using VA electronic systems.

Maintain and monitor electronic wait lists, consults, and recall lists.

Assist Veterans with scheduling and care coordination.

Provide timely and professional phone support.

Communicate clearly with clinical staff to support patient care.

Resolve patient concerns and, when necessary, elevate issues.

Maintain accurate patient information within electronic medical records.

Customer Service Standards

Deliver respectful, courteous service to Veterans and staff.

Address concerns promptly (initiate within 24 hours).

Assist patients in making informed healthcare decisions.

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Promote a positive image of the VA mission and team.

Qualifications

U.S. residency required.

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Typing speed of 50 WPM or higher.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel preferred).

Experience working with electronic medical records.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
