Salary Range (commensurate with experience):
$21.15 / hourly
Dental Sterilization Technicians perform all duties associated with the sterilization process and dispensing of dental instruments, supplies and equipment used by the dental students and staff at the College of Dentistry.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
High school graduation or GED
One (1) year (12 months) of experience in a medical, health care, or laboratory setting or a closely related setting using sterile procedures OR Current certification as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of dental instrumentation, procedures and dental materials; experience operating sterilizing machines and thermal disinfectors; knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control procedures.
