Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (PRN)
Responsibilities
PRN shifts: Day, Swing &/or Grave shifts – minimum of 2 eight‑hour shifts per week with one weekend shift (Friday evening, Saturday, or Sunday) required to maintain PRN/part‑time status.
Attend all required training.
Be available for evening or weekend shifts.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on day and shift worked. Rate includes shift differentials.
Location
Provo Canyon School, located in Springville, UT, is a 24/7 secure behavioral health treatment center for adolescents aged 13 to 17. We coach, teach, and mentor students with psychiatric disorders to achieve positive change and eventual return to families and communities. Learn more at

Key Responsibilities
Serve as a positive role model for students while providing close supervision and documenting observations.
Demonstrate teamwork and recognize the importance of the role to student outcomes.
Support students in meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, unit activities, education, and therapy meetings.
Confidently intervene during student crisis using verbal de‑escalation skills and other personal safety techniques.
Use positive verbal skills and coaching to educate students on appropriate behavior and possible outcomes.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum age 21.
Conflict resolution skills, resiliency, and patience.
Ability to pass criminal history background check and drug screen.
