
Sonographer - Imaging [PRN]

JOB SUMMARY
The Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging procedures to provide the interpreting Radiologist with accurate diagnostic information. This role includes gathering relevant patient history, ensuring high-quality imaging, maintaining equipment, and supporting patient comfort and safety throughout the exam process.
Responsibilities
Responsible for performing all patient ultrasound imaging procedures.
Gathers patient history data and completes worksheets with exam findings for Radiologist.
Performs general upkeep and housekeeping of exam rooms.
Assists with imaging center workflow by helping with general duties as deemed necessary (burn discs with images etc.)
Complete patient workups prior to scheduled appointments, including obtaining prior records, preparing charts, and verifying that orders and diagnoses are accurate and complete.
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, radiologists, and clinic staff.
Train new Ultrasound technologists and/or support staff.
Document patient cancellations and relevant updates in the patient chart.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Active ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification
Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1–2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience preferred
