Role Overview
Mercy Fort Smith is expanding its ER and ICU facilities and seeks experienced RNs to provide high‑quality patient care. Using the nursing process, you will maintain professional accountability, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, and coordinate patient care with other departments. This role supports the expanded capacity—ER beds will grow from 29 to 50 and ICU beds from 38 to 64—ensuring continuity of excellent care in a world‑class environment.
Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients.
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinate patient care with other departments.
Stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Current RN license in the hiring state or applicable compact, with ongoing maintenance.
One or more of the following certifications may be required: ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses), OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse), and other unit‑specific certifications.
