Summary
The Medical Equipment Technician delivers and assembles medical equipment and supplies in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner. The role includes educating patients and caregivers on equipment use, maintenance, and benefits, performing warehouse and inventory tasks, and maintaining required documentation. The technician may also be cross‑trained to cover office duties.

Essential Functions

Deliver medical equipment and supplies, educate patients/caregivers, and complete paperwork.

Maintain compliance logs, records, and receipts per policy and procedure.

Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, FDA, OSHA, etc.) and report safety or compliance issues.

Provide after‑hours coverage with other technicians.

Support and train new technicians as requested.

Identify patient needs and revenue opportunities and communicate them to Customer Service.

Maintain vehicle by unloading, cleaning, and completing maintenance manifests.

Keep warehouse inventory and equipment clean and repaired according to policy.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the branch office manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to travel and work periodic after‑hours (overnight and weekend) on‑call shifts.

Preferred Experience

Residential delivery driver experience.

Customer service experience in a medical, insurance, or healthcare setting.

Position Type / Hours
Full‑time: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (hours subject to change by branch office manager). Also required to work periodic after‑hours on‑call shifts.

Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory role.

Work Environment

Primarily driving, delivering, and setting up equipment.

Significant time loading/unloading and working outdoors.

Occasional time in office, warehouse, or clinical settings.

Uses standard office equipment (computers, phones, fax).

Physical Demands
Sit frequently; stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift or move up to 25 lb; occasionally up to 150 lb. Requires close and distance vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel
Daily travel to complete deliveries; overnight travel may be required for orientation and continuing education.

Duties may change over time.
