ROLE OVERVIEW
This position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role serves as the primary processor for employee status changes in the HRIS, supports full-cycle recruitment efforts, and prepares and facilitates new employee orientation. Responsible for assisting in HR activities and programs under general supervision. Assist with projects/assignments in benefits, compensation, staffing, employee relations, training and development.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary processor for employee status changes in the HRIS, including promotions, compensation adjustments, transfers, position changes, hourly job offers, etc.
Assists with all areas of the recruitment process, including job postings, applicant tracking, hiring coordination, pre-employment testing, onboarding, etc.
Prepare new employee orientation materials and facilitate orientation sessions.
Provide assistance to employees (FT, PT, Seasonal, Union, Non-Union) and supervisors on a variety of basic policy and benefit inquiries.
Update, coordinate, and distribute HR communication materials (e.g. performance reviews).
Provide assistance for research and analysis for the coordination of special projects and reports.
Assist with benefit administration, recordkeeping, training initiatives, etc.
Oversee the company's internship program, including coordination, administration and ongoing support.
Responsible for scanning, copying, and filing of documents.
Handle high volumes of work under time constraints, which may require extended work hours.
Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma.
Proficient computer and math skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Associates Degree in HR field desirable.
Two-three years working in HR department, or administrative position.
Excellent interactions skills with employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficient math skills.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy and critical thinking skills when dealing with employees and the public.
Ability to work with and assist employees.
Able to work independently and under time constraints.
Must maintain confidentiality.
COMPENSATION:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience.
