Are you a dedicated veterinary technician with a passion for oncology and long‑term patient care? At BluePearl Kirkland we provide exceptional care while fostering lasting bonds with our clients and their beloved pets. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled veterinary technician to join our dynamic medical oncology service.

Qualifications

A valid Veterinary Technician license in Washington State. License transfer from outside states must be completed before hire.

Previous veterinary experience. Oncology experience is not required.

Proficiency in drug calculations, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures.

Ability to build relationships with clients and guide them through emotional aspects of pet care.

Eligibility for a sign‑on bonus of up to $3,000.

Pay & Schedule
Pay:

$25.60 – $36.80 per hour (based on experience and progression through the Kahuna leveling system).

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday, 7 am – 5 pm.

What You'll Do

Provide compassionate cancer care for companion animals throughout diagnosis, staging, and treatment (including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, electrochemotherapy, and clinical trials) to ensure their comfort and well‑being.

Build strong relationships with pets and their owners, guiding them through the emotional aspects of pet care and treatment options.

Assist board‑certified veterinary oncologists with diagnostics, treatments, and patient monitoring.

Educate clients on treatment plans, medication administration, and home care needs.

Perform drug calculations (e.g., dosing, constant‑rate infusions, unit conversions) and draw blood samples.

Place and maintain IV catheters and manage related procedures.
