Overview

Art Therapist Grade 3

– Permanent Part-time (0.4 EFT / 32 hours) – Located at The Alfred’s IPU. Weekend work may be required.
Organization

Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for a population of approximately 1.2 million people in Melbourne and surrounding areas. The organization operates multiple sites, providing a full range of services with education and training central to staff development.
Responsibilities

Provide a client-centred art therapy program that enhances the wellbeing and recovery of patients admitted to acute in-patient units.
Participate in the establishment of the therapeutic group program.
Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to care within Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH), focusing on individuals with serious mental illness.
Engage in professional development, supervision, and performance management processes as part of the AMAH team.
Qualifications and Experience

Relevant qualifications in Art Therapy, eligible for registration with the appropriate registering body.
Experience in development and implementation of group programs.
Demonstrated skills in principles and practice of Art Therapy for people with serious mental illness, including assessment and development of individual treatment and management plans in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
Australian working rights and current Influenza vaccination.
Shifts and Work Arrangements

Shifts will be allocated on a roster system; weekend work may be required.
