Pay range $27.75-$32.64 per hour based on experience and higher education.

This position will alternate between Rutland and Fitchburg locations. The schedule is Monday‑Friday daytime hours.

About the Role
An in‑field Speech Language Pathology Assistant who collaborates with a Speech Language Pathologist to implement Individual Education Program (IEP) goals for students ages 6‑21 with ASD and related developmental disorders.

Responsibilities

Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in implementing goals and objectives outlined in the IEP.

Structure the classroom and physical environment to promote positive, goal‑directed responses and social interaction.

Support the SLP with speech, language, and hearing screenings (without clinical interpretation) and document student performance.

Provide information to team members for students who have communication and/or swallowing disorders, including programming and instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.

Handle clerical duties such as preparing materials, scheduling activities, and maintaining equipment as directed by the SLP.

Qualifications

21 years of age or older.

Valid driver’s license.

Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in Communication Disorders and completion of supervised field work.

Current SLPA license or license‑eligible immediately following college graduation.

Preferred: previous experience in remedial speech/language difficulties in a hospital or school treatment facility.

Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices preferred.

Ability to attend a 2‑week paid orientation (Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑4 PM) in Rutland, MA.
