CLN Clinic Assistant - Fort Payne RHC - FT - 1st Shift

Acts as collaborative member of the clinical team in providing continuity and quality care to patients. Initiates patient care assessments, gathers vital signs, prepares patient and exam room for procedures, draws up meds and gives injections. Provides patient education and support as needed to assist providers, patients and family. Answers and returns phone calls pertaining to patients medical/clinical questions and concerns.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification
Certified Medical Assistant required.
Experience
Minimum of one year clinic experience in a clinic setting.
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Typing, word processing, computer, and telephone skills preferred.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience in Athena is preferred, but not required.
Additional Skills/Abilities
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
Must be able to use computer, fax machine and copy machine.
Must be detail oriented and work well in a team environment.
Experience with GPMS/EMR is desired.
BCLS must be received within the orientation period.
