Overview

Scope of Work
In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education. Monitors the treatment activities of COTA’s and aides. Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice. Completes all documentation of services per department standards. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards. Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives. Maintains updated license and submits evidence of status to supervisor/manager within two weeks of receipt of new or updated license.
Responsibilities

Demonstrate professionalism and respect for patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Promote effective working relations within the department and with other units to meet goals.
Maintain updated licensure and provide documentation to supervisor/manager within the required timeframe.
Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited OT school.
Successful completion of clinical internship.
Previous clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred.
Current State OT license.
BLS certification.
Other Requirements
State of MI Driver’s License
