Our team and state-of-the-art programs create a world-class health care organization and the destination center for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care with complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure service as well as advanced imaging with cutting edge technologies.**Position Summary**The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.**Responsibilities:*** Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:

+ Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff

+ Interviewing patients

+ Obtaining vital signs

+ Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments

+ Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture

+ Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency

+ Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers* Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:

+ Sending and receiving of patient medical records

+ Facilitating patient referrals

+ Preparing forms for patients**Requirements:*** Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)* Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred* Current BLS certification

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.83 - $35.71 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.Associated benefit information can be viewed .**FTE:** .01 Per Diem, **Shift:** Days, **Schedule:** The Medical Assistant position at Pulse Vascular is typically an 8 hour scheduled shift, but potentially could have longer days every so often.
