CNA Hospice In-Patient Facility (7p-7:30a - 36 hours)
Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Schedule: 3 12‑hour night shifts per week (availability to work any night Monday‑Friday and rotate weekends), 7pm-7:30am.
Position duties are assigned by the RN to increase patient comfort, maintain personal hygiene, and maintain a safe environment for the patient, family, and caregiver.
Essential Duties (Day‑to‑Day)
Take vitals once a day per patient
Patient hygiene (bathe, mouthcare, keep patient dry, and more)
Reposition patients every 4 hours, or based on family requests
Assist with passing out trays for meals
Record intake and output
Empty trash cans and restock patient rooms with supplies
Document all tasks performed
Report changes in patient’s condition and concerns to appropriate nursing staff promptly
Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, shift reports, staff training, agency and departmental meetings and other related activities
Handle up to 4‑6 patients per day per CNA
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program
Valid CNA license (CHPNA preferred)
Minimum lifting requirement of 40 lbs
Preferred Experience
One year of experience as a nurse aide (preferred but not required)
