Hours: 7:45 am - 3:45 pm on screening days. Twice per month late appointments (10 am - 6 pm) are scheduled.

Overview
Complete early childhood health and developmental screenings for ISD 196 preschool‑aged children. Screeners are scheduled for 1–2 days per week, up to 95 days per year. This position works 8 hours per scheduled day, with the calendar including working four Saturdays per year and two early evenings per month. Early childhood screenings are scheduled from late July to early June.
Responsibilities
Create a positive and welcoming environment for all families.
Complete developmental screenings of 3 to 5‑year‑olds using a standardized assessment tool.
Conduct short interviews with parents regarding children’s health and development.
Maintain good communication and cooperation with colleagues, families, and the Early Childhood Screening Manager.
Collaborate with language interpreters.
Record screening outcomes into the screening database.
Follow Minnesota early childhood screening requirements.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
Qualifications
Current Minnesota teaching license preferred, or similar training and experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Experience with standardized educational assessment preferred.
Compensation
According to contractual agreement. Rate of pay: $30.00 per hour / $240 per full day.
