Position Qualifications
Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited physical therapy assistant education program. Usually a 2-year degree that covers essential topics such as anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, and clinical pathology.
Experience is preferred but not required at this time.
Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist Assistant or have all appropriate FSBPT paperwork completed to work as a Student Physical Therapist Assistant post‑graduation while studying to take the licensure exam. Current BLS.
