Senior Helpers caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home.
What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like?
Providing a helping hand.
Companion Caregivers
They are companions. When they first arrive, they might do a safety check, help prepare meals, or pick out clothes for the day. You are a friend who plays games, runs errands, cleans up, and genuinely tries to make someone smile.
Personal Caregivers
They help seniors bathe, get dressed, and brush their teeth. They help them stay safe with medication reminders and general mobility around the house. Some caregivers have certifications like CNA, HHA, or PCA, (certifications optional).

Here’s what you’ll do
Offer reassurance, safety, and engagement throughout the day and/or night
Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (gardening, games, etc.)
Prep meals and help with light housekeeping
Transport clients to appointments or help with running errands
Assist with walking, dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living
Provide continuous care, supervision, and companionship
Report what activities were completed with your clients and report any changes in physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to pass a background check / TB skin test
Licensed driver with an insured and reliable automobile (travel to a Senior's home must be dependable)
One year of experience providing in home care or working in a facility
Dependable, compassionate, professional

If you have experience caring for a family member or have been a full-time parent or homemaker, if you worked in an Assisted Living Facility, Skilled Nursing, Senior Home, or Senior Center, if you have been a teacher or child care worker, working in a school or preschool setting, or are retired and want to give back, we want to talk to you. If you have worked at a YMCA or volunteered at church, we would love to speak with you. If you have certifications like Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid, and Personal Care Aid, we want to talk to you.
