Responsibilities
Safely maintain a fleet of P&H electric shovels, Hitachi 5500 hydraulic shovels, Atlas Copco, and Epiroc drills.
Maintain welds on various equipment using a variety of processes such as manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing, and air arc to ensure equipment availability and safety.
Install safety devices, railings, barriers, arc‑flash screens, etc. to complete projects safely and within established time frames.
Be proficient in air‑arc procedures and running wire.
Be competent in wear‑iron replacement.
Report in writing detailed work activities at the completion of every job.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Three (3) years’ experience in a related field preferred.
Ability to maintain an inventory of personal tools required for the job.
Personal hand tools required.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds required.
Demonstrated ability to be self‑directed, team‑oriented, and work with minimum supervision.
Proven safety record required.
Excellent attendance record required.
Willingness to work in adverse conditions required.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
Ability to work a rotating schedule of days and nights is an essential function of this role.

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5 %) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5 %), combining significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold‑producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best‑in‑class operational improvements. The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
