Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurses
to support inpatient acute care units, including telemetry, oncology, orthopedics, and general medicine/surgery at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. Med‑Surg RNs provide comprehensive care to Veterans with complex medical and post‑operative needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient admissions, assessments, transfers, and discharges
Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and antibiotics
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Manage wounds, drains, chest tubes, and central lines
Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Float between Med‑Surg units as operational needs require
Required Qualifications
Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)
BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
At least 2 years recent Med‑Surg or telemetry experience
Strong assessment and critical‑thinking skills
Preferred Experience
Telemetry or oncology nursing
VA hospital experience
Compensation
$44.80/hour + $5.55/hour H&W
