Function/Duties of Position

Are you passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to older adults? We invite you to join a collaborative, inpatient team at Hillsboro Medical Center, an acute psychiatric facility serving patients aged 50 and older. As a Geriatric Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide direct clinical care in a positive, team-oriented inpatient setting. This is a mission-driven program that values teamwork, respect, education, and innovation. You will also have opportunities as a member of the OHSU faculty to teach, mentor, and engage in Grand Rounds.
You will:
Teach and mentor
Participate in regular Grand Rounds
Engage with a collaborative academic community focused on research, teamwork, and lifelong learning
The Department of Psychiatry supports a fully accredited training program that promotes excellence in patient care, education, and clinical leadership.
Responsibilities
We are looking for:
An experienced, licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the State of Oregon who enjoys working with older adults. Training and strong experience in Geriatric Psychiatry is preferred. Experience in acute care Geriatric Psychiatry would be highly beneficial. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, team-oriented, and committed to trauma-informed care and continuous improvement.
