Job Description
This position requires a state phlebotomy license; Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, or NV. Phlebotomist II Float in Redding, CA – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends. This float role allows frequent transfers to new patient centers.
Pay range: $26.05 - $28.45 per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible for annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a patient service center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
Enter billing information and collect payment when required
Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to group lead or supervisor
Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed
Qualifications
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred elsewhere
Work Experience:
Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Minimum two years in a patient service center environment preferred
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
Keyboard/data entry experience
The position requires effective communication in English.
